About The Position

Arc of Onondaga is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented leader for the Plan Coordination & Behavior Support Director role. This position will lead a team responsible for ensuring high-quality, compliant, and individualized services across agency programs. The Director will influence agency-wide service delivery, mentor professionals, and help individuals achieve meaningful life goals through thoughtful planning and coordinated supports. The role emphasizes collaboration, professional growth, and work-life balance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services or a related field required
  • Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP) status required
  • Minimum three years of relevant experience
  • At least two years of experience in plan coordination, compliance, behavior support, or supervisory leadership
  • Thorough knowledge of OPWDD regulations and person-centered planning
  • Strong organizational, leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Valid New York State driver's license with an acceptable driving record

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership for both the Plan Coordination and Behavior Support departments, ensuring services meet the highest standards of quality and regulatory compliance.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop Plan Coordination and Behavior Support leadership and staff.
  • Oversee person-centered planning and behavior support services across residential and community programs.
  • Ensure assessments, habilitation plans, behavior support plans, and required documentation are completed accurately and on time.
  • Manage team caseloads and monitor workload distribution.
  • Coordinate admissions, transfers, and service planning for individuals entering agency programs.
  • Ensure compliance with OPWDD, Medicaid Waiver, HIPAA, and agency standards.
  • Partner with program leaders to strengthen collaboration and service quality.
  • Monitor quality assurance activities, audits, and documentation.
  • Participate in agency leadership initiatives, Human Rights Committee meetings, and the rotating Administrator on Duty (AOD) schedule.
  • Travel to program locations to provide support, consultation, and supervision.
