About The Position

Marsh is seeking a Placement Representative to support its Transportation industry practice. This role is ideal for someone with commercial insurance experience who is eager to deepen their expertise in placement strategy, underwriting negotiations, and client service across a complex and fast-moving industry. This position is critical to successfully support a diverse portfolio of transportation accounts and related businesses, offering exposure to innovative and complex risk programs and tailored insurance solutions for a dynamic industry. Requirements

  • College degree
  • 4+ years of relevant commercial lines insurance experience in a support capacity
  • Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

Responsibilities

  • Support and lead placement and advisory efforts on a diverse portfolio of client accounts.
  • Develop and execute renewal and placement strategies in collaboration with Placement Leaders and Client Executives, aligned with client goals.
  • Complete coverage reviews and negotiate terms with underwriters to ensure alignment with client needs.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and timely follow-up of all placement activities within internal systems.
  • Submit coverage specifications, manage policy follow-up, and support policy administration.
  • Accurately input placement data into client presentations.
  • Review policy language and support first-check policy review to help ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Enter placement data into client presentations and internal reporting tools.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers, underwriters, and market contacts.
  • Monitor market and regulatory developments that may affect transportation clients.
  • Collaborate with Marsh teams across the U.S. and globally to deliver integrated client solutions.
  • Support team initiatives and special projects as needed.
