About The Position

As a PKI Systems Administrator, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the customer’s mission. You will manage, maintain, and monitor all PKI systems and infrastructure. This includes administering and managing digital certificates, such as issuance, renewal, and revocation. You will also troubleshoot and resolve PKI-related issues in a timely manner, develop and enforce PKI-related policies, procedures, and best practices, conduct periodic audits of the PKI environment to ensure reliability and effectiveness, and maintain up-to-date documentation of PKI configuration, processes, and workflows.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field. Experience may be substituted for education.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience.
  • Strong understanding of public/private key cryptography and digital certificates.
  • Hands-on experience in managing certificate authorities (CAs), registration authorities (RAs), and hardware security modules (HSMs).
  • Experience with PKI tools and technologies.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and protocols (e.g., X.509, TLS/SSL, OCSP, CRLs).
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, Python, or similar).
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Clearance Level Must Currently Possess: Top Secret and SCI eligible
  • Required: US Citizenship
  • Required: DoD 8140 IAT II compliant
