About The Position

320 Market Cafe is a family-owned business with over 30 years of experience, operating two retail locations and one production facility. We expanded our offerings to include pizza in the summer of 2022 and are seeking an experienced lead pizza maker/supervisor for a full-time position. This role requires weekend and evening availability, with Sundays being mandatory. Typical shifts are 11 AM-7 PM, 1 PM-9 PM, and 2 PM-10 PM. We pride ourselves on producing a unique, in-house fermented dough for our pizzas.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high-quality execution of all pizza orders.
• Prepare, assemble, and cook ingredients according to restaurant recipes and specifications.
• Make, ferment, and portion all varieties of dough.
• Produce all house-made sauces (tomato, pesto, garlic cream) and core ingredients (e.g., roasted mushrooms).
• Train and instruct pizza makers to ensure consistent production and adherence to standards.
• Produce items in a timely manner for both in-house and to-go orders.
• Prepare core market items such as stromboli, tomato pies, pretzels, and other dough-based products.
• Oversee the cheesesteak program, preparing cheesesteaks to order.
• Participate in menu development for monthly specials.
• Comply with nutrition, sanitation regulations, and safety standards.
• Maintain a positive and professional demeanor with coworkers and customers.
• Communicate effectively and share kitchen space with production bakers and the deli team.
• Perform basic register skills, order taking, and customer triage.
• Collaborate with management on ingredient procurement and inventory levels.
• Contribute to the creative menu development process.
