About The Position

Pizza Makers are responsible for preparing pizza dough, slicing and chopping toppings like vegetables and meats, and executing customers’ orders considering special requests. This role requires knowledge of state and local health regulations, maintaining a clean working area, and operating large-volume cooking equipment. The Pizza Maker will also prepare raw materials, make sauces, monitor food stock, and ensure exact measurements of ingredients. Additionally, they will train other cooks, check pizza quality, maintain positive professional relationships, and act in accordance with company policies and regulations. The role also involves demonstrating company behaviors and meeting attendance guidelines.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Familiar with all phases of food preparation techniques.
  • Local Health Department sanitation certificate.
  • 3+ years prior experience as a Pizza Maker or similar role in a restaurant.
  • Hands-on experience with preparing and baking pizza dough.
  • Familiarity with professional kitchen equipment and brick or stone oven.
  • Understanding of food hygiene.
  • Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and evenings.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare pizza dough, slice and chop toppings, and execute customer orders with special requests.
  • Mix and hand-stretch dough.
  • Monitor, maintain, and clean the working area and cooking surfaces.
  • Maintain and operate large-volume cooking equipment such as grills and deep fryers.
  • Prepare all raw materials required for cooking, including cutting vegetables and preparing dough.
  • Make fresh tomato, pesto, and white cream sauces.
  • Wash and chop vegetables (e.g., tomatoes, peppers, onions, mushrooms).
  • Cut, slice, and grill meats (e.g., chicken, ham, beef).
  • Monitor food stock and place orders as needed.
  • Ensure exact measurement of all ingredients for all food items.
  • Prepare and store pizza dough.
  • Prepare pizza sauces.
  • Train other cooks in the preparation process to ensure uniform meals.
  • Check the quality of pizzas before they are served to guests.
  • Maintain a positive professional relationship with co-workers, supervisors, and guests.
  • Notify the Supervisor regarding levels of food supplies, inventory, and other materials.
  • Act in accordance with company policies, restaurant specifications, and food/beverage regulations.
  • Act as a role model and present oneself as a credit to Caesars.
  • Meet attendance guidelines and adhere to regulatory, departmental, and company policies.
