About The Position

Savoy Pizzeria, located in West Hartford, CT, is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Pizza Chef to join the Max Hospitality Team. Our artisan pizza chef prepares wood-fired pizzas and other dishes that are thoughtfully prepared with care and attention. The Savoy Pizzeria Ristorante menu is filled with artisan pizzas that are a hit among our guests, among other elevated Italian dishes. We are seeking a Pizza Chef that can deliver our current dishes and also be creative with new additions to the menu. The Savoy Pizzeria menu is filled with upscale, authentic Italian dishes and offers wood-fired pizzas that are made with high-quality ingredients. The location is highly rated by Zagat, and the locals continue to vote it as one of the best restaurants in the Farmington Valley area.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year experience in dough stretching
  • Ability to work the line in a high-volume, fast-paced environment, keeping up with the demands of the kitchen.
  • Great time management skills
  • Great communication both verbal and written

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience as a prep cook is preferred but not required
  • ServSafe certification is preferred.
  • Previous experience as a line cook

Responsibilities

  • Prepares wood fired pizzas and other dishes thoughtfully with care and attention.
  • Delivers current dishes and is creative with new additions to the menu.
  • Assists with the preparation of all items needed for service, from chopping vegetables to making sauces and butchering meat.
  • May be asked to prepare items for other stations or special events.
  • Understands current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations by following established policies and procedures to ensure that safe and high-quality food service is provided at all times.
