About The Position
Join the team at Black's Pub as a Pizza Cook and become part of one of Whistler Village's busiest and most iconic pub kitchens. Known for its welcoming atmosphere, lively patio, and crowd-pleasing menu, Black's serves hundreds of guests each day—and our pizzas are a guest favourite. We're looking for someone who takes pride in preparing high-quality food, works well under pressure, and enjoys being part of a fast-paced, team-oriented kitchen. Whether you're an experienced pizza cook or a line cook looking to specialize, this is a great opportunity to develop your skills while working alongside an experienced culinary team in the heart of Whistler.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a commercial kitchen
- A passion for preparing high-quality food with consistency and attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently and stay organized during busy service periods.
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
- Reliable, hardworking, and eager to learn.
Nice To Haves
- Pizza or wood-fired oven experience is an asset but not required.
- Food Safe certification is an asset.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, build, and cook pizzas to recipe and presentation standards.
- Prepare ingredients, dough, sauces, and toppings to ensure service readiness.
- Maintain quality, consistency, and speed during high-volume lunch, après, and dinner services.
- Keep your station clean, organized, and fully stocked throughout your shift.
- Monitor product quality, rotation, and food safety standards.
- Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient service.
- Assist with prep, cleaning, and other kitchen duties as required.
- Contribute to a positive, supportive, and high-performing team environment.
