About The Position

Maxime’s, a private members club opened in March 2025 in the historic former Westbury Hotel on Madison Avenue, is seeking a Pizza Chef to work directly with the Head Chef. The role focuses on developing and executing Roman-style pizza using an electric oven and high-hydration, direct-fermentation dough. The chef should be confident in pizza making and able to assist in other kitchen sections when needed. The kitchen works with thoughtfully sourced, high-quality produce. The Pizza Chef will be part of an established culinary team delivering daily guest experiences. Requirements

Proven experience as a Pizza Chef in fine dining, Michelin, or luxury hospitality.
Strong culinary techniques and a passion for quality and precision.
Confidence in pizza making, including dough preparation and the preparation of toppings and sauce.
Ability to make pizza consistently and efficiently, including stretching dough, portion control, and producing an even crust.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Positive, professional attitude and a team-player mentality.

Responsibilities

Work directly with the Head Chef to develop and execute Roman-style pizza.
Prepare dough, toppings, and sauces.
Make pizza consistently and efficiently, including stretching dough, controlling portions, and producing an even crust.
Assist in other sections of the kitchen when necessary.
Contribute as part of the culinary team to deliver exceptional experiences.
