About The Position

Apogee is seeking a senior-level PIR Enterprise Platform Product Owner to support the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) mission at Wright Patterson AFB in Dayton, Ohio. The role provides product ownership for GSPO (O&M), focusing on the PIR Enterprise Platform and associated applications. The Product Owner serves as the primary interface among government sponsors, operational users, functional leads, and technical development teams, managing product backlogs and ensuring delivery of mission-relevant capabilities that support intelligence operations. This position is contingent upon contract award and is performed onsite at Wright Patterson AFB; occasional travel is required.

Requirements

Must be a U.S. citizen.
Must be eligible for TS/SCI and able to obtain and maintain required clearances.
Master’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or an allowed experience substitution: an additional 8 years of relevant experience in place of the Master’s degree, or 4 additional years of experience plus a Bachelor’s degree.
At least 10 years of experience in product management, project management, or systems integration roles.
Understanding of cloud-native architectures, microservices, containerization, and DevSecOps pipelines.
Experience with Agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
Strong backlog management, prioritization, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Ability to translate operational needs into well-formed user stories.

Agile certification, such as Scrum Master or Product Owner; preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Maintain, groom, prioritize, and keep the product backlogs current for the PIR Enterprise Platform and associated applications, including maintaining at least two sprints of actionable, prioritized work.
Break down roadmap objectives into refined user stories with clear acceptance criteria, and continually update stories based on evolving requirements and stakeholder feedback.
Prioritize work based on mission value, user needs, technical dependencies, and strategic objectives; maintain backlog hygiene and remove outdated or irrelevant items.
Serve as the primary interface between government sponsors, operational users, functional leads, and technical development teams.
Reconcile competing user requests, build stakeholder consensus, and propose a unified platform vision for Government approval.
Translate operational requirements into actionable technical requirements and ensure stakeholder perspectives are considered in product planning and prioritization.
Attend stakeholder synchronization meetings as required and coordinate regular engagement with user communities to gather requirements and feedback.
Attend Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives; communicate user feedback, provide product direction, clarify requirements, review completed work, make acceptance decisions, and participate in process improvement.
Facilitate user demonstrations within two weeks after key feature deployments when development environments and releases are stable and available; coordinate and schedule demonstrations, prepare materials, gather feedback, and help users understand new features.
Respond to and triage critical user-submitted bug and enhancement requests within 24 hours in the government-designated JIRA, assigning a preliminary priority score.
Assess reported issues for urgency, mission impact, and severity; coordinate resolution timelines with development teams, track issues through resolution, and verify user satisfaction.
Translate operational, security, and cloud optimization needs into technical backlogs; understand operational workflows, identify improvement opportunities, capture and prioritize security requirements, and identify cloud optimization opportunities to improve performance and reduce costs.
