About The Position

Talon Hiring Solutions has a client in the Cincinnati Ohio, Mobile, and Birmingham, Alabama area that is looking for a full time Piping Designer. This role will help to develop accurate, efficient piping system layouts that meet industry standards and project requirements. Ideal for a technically strong designer with an entrepreneurial mindset who is motivated to create value for clients through innovative engineering solutions. Partial Relocation Provided

Requirements

+5 years of experience working within piping engineer and/or design.
Proficiency in AutoCAD Plant 3D for seamless integration with existing design workflows.
Ability to read client Piping Specifications
Associates Degree in Drafting or Design
On-hands experience in developing equipment, overall facility layouts, preparation of overall 3D piping model, preparation of orthographic drawings, isometrics, bill of materials, and selection and design of piping supports

Nice To Haves

Prior engineering services experience preferred
Experience walking down P&ID's, completing field measurements, Isometric drawings preferred
Ability to lead a small team to track deliverables

Responsibilities

CAD Design of basic equipment layouts, piping routings that are consistent with codes, standards, and client requirements.
Coordinate work of other lead designers assigned to the task.
Ensure that discipline leads have the correct project standards and checklists.
Maintain and update the overall 3D model as required.
Prepare engineering drawings and documentation.
Participate in meetings with clients as requested by Project Manager.
