About The Position

ITAC is seeking a Piping Designer to support process and industrial projects. The role involves developing and updating piping models, P&IDs, and drawings for new and as-built plant conditions. The designer works with project leads to establish requirements, visits plants to verify designs and understand project needs, and uses CAD software such as Plant 3D AutoCAD to produce project-specific drawings. The position also submits drawings to stakeholders and operations and maintenance teams, and participates in design reviews to clarify requirements and develop solutions. ITAC is an employee-owned engineering and construction services company serving process and industrial clients. The company has more than 450 employees across six offices in Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina. The typical salary range for this position is $85,000–$125,000.

Requirements

Technical Bachelor of Science degree, such as in Engineering.
5–10 years of experience in piping design using CAD in an industrial plant environment.
In-depth knowledge of Excel, AutoCAD, and SAP.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of API, ISO, and industry standards for P&IDs; PIP standards are preferred.
Strong people skills and a customer-focused approach.
Team-oriented.

Responsibilities
