About The Position

The Piping Designer is responsible for plant layout and piping design for projects in the Onshore Oil & Gas, LNG, and Renewables industries. Work includes conceptual studies, FEEDs, estimates, detail design, and construction support.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Proficiency in current engineering design and drafting software packages, including Aveva E3D.
• 2–10 years of piping design experience in modeling and drafting.
• Strong communication skills.
• Professional ethics.

Nice To Haves

• Some college education or an associate degree.

Responsibilities

• Use design systems, including Aveva E3D, to produce basic piping design deliverables.
• Generate bulk material take-offs for piping materials.
• Maintain and promote a focus on the McDermott end product during engineering, fabrication, and construction.
• Communicate effectively with other engineering disciplines.
• Ensure effective management of change.
• Take responsibility for cost, schedule, quantity, and budget control.
• Coordinate with supporting offices.
• Identify potential changes.
• Provide schedule and progress updates.
