About The Position

Fluor is a global leader in the Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Fabrication, and Maintenance industry, recognized for its innovation and cost-effective technology-based solutions. The Mechanical and Piping Engineering Department is seeking a new graduate with an Engineering Technologist Diploma to join the team as a Piping Designer. This role involves drafting Process Flow Diagrams and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams, as well as other engineering drawings and documentation. The position offers exposure to a full range of project assignments, from feasibility studies to detailed engineering.

Requirements

Graduating with a Diploma from Mechanical Engineering Technology or Equivalent in 2025/2026.
Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Basic computer and software skills to include the use of word processing, e-mail, spreadsheet and electronic presentation programs
Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
Good working knowledge of 2D CAD drafting
Ability to work in a computer-based 3D Design environment

Nice To Haves

Previous experience using CAD, AutoCAD, Microstation 2D and Intergraph 3D

Responsibilities

Drafting Process Flow Diagram and Piping & Instrumentation Diagram
Performing drafting of drawings, including process and instrumentation diagrams, material take off and stress sketches and isometrics, as well as arrangements drawings and other documentation
Assignments comprising preliminary feasibility studies through to the completion of detailed engineering drawings
