Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) degree.
Minimum 6+ years experience.
Working knowledge of construction, industry codes and standards ASME/ANSI/API/NFPA/CSA codes (ASME B31.3, B31.4, B31.8, 49 CFR 192 & 195) preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Develop project takeoffs for weld count and materials.
Develop bid packages for the materials required to fabricate the project and work with outside vendors to price materials and services.
Coordination with QAQC Team to support our efforts and ensure drawing preparation.
Develop pipe drawings and weld maps to include heat number tracing and welds.
Coordination with Electrical, structural, and process engineering teams to ensure total package development.
Design hydrostatic tests and supervise testing to include maintenance of test gauge calibration.
Maintain all required code paperwork for each project.
Be open and able to travel to project sites to assist in the startup of fabricated equipment.
Prepare purchase orders to successful vendors.
Review project plan and schedule changes; recommend actions to ensure the project stays on time and on budget while meeting client specifications.
Ensure project compliance with appropriate government regulations, safety rules, and company and client policies.
