This position provides technical support for the implementation of the Transmission Integrity Management Program (TIMP). The role involves serving as a subject matter expert for Direct Assessment (DA) assessments, analyzing transmission pipeline data to identify high consequence areas and pipeline threats, preparing pre-assessment data, selecting appropriate assessment methods, reviewing and integrating assessment data, directing examination selection for repair or tool validation, recommending re-assessment intervals, and drafting post-assessment reports. The role also includes preparing excavation plans and technical exhibits for permit acquisition, performing technical analysis for pipeline condition, root cause analysis, and fitness for service. Documentation of all aspects of the transmission pipeline integrity management plan is crucial, including organizing and maintaining pipeline data, assessment reports, technical documentation, and procedures. The position requires updating written plans and initiating changes for code compliance, as well as organizing supporting documentation for regulatory audits. Analysis of assessment data, preparation of remediation plans, scheduling, and identification of risk reduction measures are also key responsibilities. On the business side, the role involves preparing technical requests for proposals for field services, evaluating vendor submittals, and recommending selections. Determining, tracking, monitoring, and reporting on assessment budget requirements, processing invoices and accruals, and administering contracts with third-party contractors are also part of the role. Quality audits of contractor work are necessary to ensure compliance. The position also focuses on identifying and implementing process improvements. Engagement involves providing technical assistance to operations, formulating guidance for pipeline safety and regulatory compliance, and gathering data from various sources to support TIMP decisions, threat identification, risk analysis, and regulatory reporting. Technical support for engineering, construction, and operations is required, along with identifying necessary Preventive & Mitigative (P&M) measures and working with stakeholders for implementation and tracking. Evaluating new Integrity Management (IM) technology and developing corresponding processes and procedures are also part of the role, as is identifying needs for pipeline modifications and coordinating their implementation. Driving results includes working with permitting authorities, communicating with affected landowners and internal resources, preparing required regulatory reports, maintaining transmission data models, verifying contractor training and qualifications, and monitoring integrity assessment and remediation schedules to meet regulatory deadlines.
