About The Position
Valkyrie Enterprises is hiring a Pipeline Engineer in Virginia Beach, VA to support the development, automation, and security integration of modern software delivery pipelines across cloud, edge, and disconnected operational environments. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in CI/CD pipeline engineering, GitOps methodologies, containerization, software supply chain security, and infrastructure automation. The Engineer will work closely with platform engineers, software developers, cybersecurity teams, and systems engineers to perform the below duties.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree and at least 5 years of experience in Pipeline Engineering
- Hands-on experience designing and managing CI/CD pipelines in GitLab or equivalent platforms
- Experience with containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes ecosystems
- Experience with scripting and automation skills using Python, Bash, or similar languages
- Experience supporting secure software delivery and automated deployment processes
- Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite (I.e., Project and Excel)
- Experience working with AEGIS or shipboard systems
- Active Secret Security Clearance and base access requirements

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, Packer, Terraform, Ansible, and related technologies
- Implement build → test → scan → sign → deploy workflows across multiple environments
- Build and optimize Docker container images for secure and efficient deployment
- Develop and maintain Helm charts and Kustomize configurations
- Generate and maintain Software Bill of Materials (SBOM) artifacts
- Integrate vulnerability scanning tools for software composition analysis (SCA) and container security
