Taggart Construction Limited is looking for a skilled Water and Sewer Pipe Layer to join their field team on underground servicing projects across the Ottawa region. For over 75 years, Taggart Construction has been building essential infrastructure in Eastern Ontario. In this role, the Pipelayer will work closely with the Foreperson and crew to install sanitary, storm, and watermain systems safely, accurately, and efficiently. Requirements
- 2–4 years of experience in sewer and water installation, with underground pipe laying experience required.
- Comfort working outdoors in all seasons, in trenches, and around active heavy civil construction sites.
- Strong teamwork, reliability, and a safety-first mindset.
Nice To Haves
- Working at Heights certification is considered an asset.
Responsibilities
- Install sanitary and storm sewer structures, catch basins, manholes, watermain, and pipe systems.
- Help move, align, grade, and level concrete and plastic pipe using levels, lasers, hand tools, and tamping equipment.
- Prepare trench bases, check grades, seal pipe, and support safe, accurate installation from start to finish.
- Work closely with the Foreman, deckhand, shovel operator, and crew to keep work moving safely and efficiently.
