About The Position

A Pipefitter is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing high-pressure and low-pressure piping systems. They read blueprints, measure and cut pipes, assemble piping components, and ensure systems operate safely and efficiently.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Pipefitting experience.
  • Knowledge of piping materials, tools, and installation techniques.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Strong problem-solving and mechanical skills.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy materials, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Measure, cut, thread, bend, and weld pipes to required dimensions.
  • Install and assemble piping systems, valves, pumps, and related equipment.
  • Inspect and test piping systems for leaks and proper operation.
  • Repair and replace damaged pipes and components.
  • Perform routine maintenance on piping systems.
  • Follow safety regulations and building codes.
  • Collaborate with plumbers, welders, electricians, and other trades.
