About The Position
A Pipefitter is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing high-pressure and low-pressure piping systems. They read blueprints, measure and cut pipes, assemble piping components, and ensure systems operate safely and efficiently.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Pipefitting experience.
- Knowledge of piping materials, tools, and installation techniques.
- Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong problem-solving and mechanical skills.
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
- Blueprint reading

Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Measure, cut, thread, bend, and weld pipes to required dimensions.
- Install and assemble piping systems, valves, pumps, and related equipment.
- Inspect and test piping systems for leaks and proper operation.
- Repair and replace damaged pipes and components.
- Perform routine maintenance on piping systems.
- Follow safety regulations and building codes.
- Collaborate with plumbers, welders, electricians, and other trades.
