About The Position
This is an experienced level position performing pipefitting processes such as fabrication, assembly, installation, and testing of ship piping systems, including associated hangers, which are either welded, brazed, or mechanically joined. These processes may be performed in all areas of the shipyard including shipboard as well as various production buildings. Hires to this position may be assigned to perform any Pipefitting tasks. A physical job task analysis is available at the time of interview.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years marine pipefitting experience OR Journeyman pipefitter OR Licensed Master plumber
- Basic knowledge in blueprint reading and ability to follow written instructions
- Must meet the requirements of the physical task analysis
Nice To Haves
- High School Diploma or GED
- Previous marine pipefitting experience, including use of associated hand tools
Responsibilities
- Fabrication, assembly, installation, and testing of ship piping systems, including associated hangers, which are either welded, brazed, or mechanically joined.
- Perform any Pipefitting tasks as assigned.
