About The Position

Archer Western is seeking a Pipefitter for the 224178 - Signal Mountain WWTP Phase 2 construction project in Signal Mountain, Tennessee. The Pipefitter assembles, installs, and replaces piping systems and related components made of materials such as metal, plastic, ceramic, and composition, and installs plumbing fixtures. The position also involves moving materials and equipment used by plumbers, pipefitters, and steamfitters. Requirements

Experience working with piping systems and fixtures.
Adequate knowledge of lengths and construction measurements for using tools and machinery.
Ability to comply with all safety policies and procedures.
Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors to ensure projects are completed properly.
Strong work ethic and desire to learn.
Good manual dexterity.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.

Nice To Haves

Three to five years of verifiable experience.
Experience with underground pipe.

Responsibilities

Assemble and install piping and tubing systems that conduct water, steam, air, and other fluids, solids, or gases in and around buildings and structures.
Install vacuum piping systems, drainage lines, and sewage laterals from buildings to the point of attachment.
Handle and move materials and equipment used by plumbers, pipefitters, and steamfitters.
Assemble, install, and replace pipe systems and related components, including metal, plastic, ceramic, and composition materials.
Install plumbing fixtures.
