Requirements

Hands-on pipefitting experience in industrial, construction, or shipyard environments
Ability to read and understand blueprints, drawings, and system layouts
Skill in fitting and installing a variety of piping materials and components
Strong focus on safety, quality, and teamwork
2 yrs of marine, industrial or petro-chemical pipefitting experience
Completed high school or equivalent pipefitting technical program with NCCER certification.

Nice To Haves

High school graduate or equivalent, Tech Master Certification

Responsibilities

Fit and install piping systems made from materials such as steel, galvanized pipe, copper, copper-nickel, and stainless steel.
Install valves, fittings, and components following drawings, arrangements, and blueprints.
Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment to ensure proper fit, alignment, and installation.
Work in a shipyard environment that may include heights, tight spaces, and changing weather conditions.
Support production across multiple shifts as needed to meet ship construction schedules.
Follow Ingalls’ strong safety standards in every task and work area.
