About The Position

This role requires a skilled Journeyman Pipefitter with extensive experience in industrial construction. The position involves a variety of tasks including pipe layout, preparation, installation, testing, and maintenance, all while adhering to strict safety protocols. The ideal candidate will be proficient with tools, able to interpret technical drawings, and capable of working in demanding environments.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in industrial construction as a journeyman pipefitter.
Possess basic rigging skills.
Proficient in the use of small power tools (i.e. die grinder, right angle grinder).
Able to read and comprehend piping isometric drawings.
3+ years’ experience in the testing and commissioning of piping systems.
Capable of efficiently planning work.
Proficient in pipe lay-out.
Threads pipe using a threading machine.
Able to read and comprehend support details/drawings.
Must be able to safely traverse uneven terrain with tools and building materials.
Must be able to climb vertical ladders and work from heights as necessary.
Adheres to all safety procedures.
Understand the use of all types of personal fall arrest systems.
Able to access scaffold.

Able to read piping & instrument diagrams.

Responsibilities

Perform pipe lay-out.
Prepare weld joints to meet project codes and standards.
Thread pipe using a threading machine.
Assist in lifting, positioning, and securing of materials and work pieces during installation.
Clean and perform minor maintenance activities on tools and equipment.
Safely traverse uneven terrain with tools and building materials.
Climb vertical ladders and work from heights as necessary.
Adhere to all safety procedures.
Understand the use of all types of personal fall arrest systems.
Access scaffold.
