The Pipefitter General Foreman is responsible for promoting a strong safety culture, managing manpower performance and productivity, and ensuring the proper ratio of apprentices to journeymen. This role involves overseeing subcontractor productivity, identifying and developing new talent, and creating professional field teams through comprehensive training. The General Foreman will attend various project meetings, collaborate with project managers and trade supervisors, and ensure that field teams receive all necessary project information. They will also manage project costs, safety practices, quality installation, and scheduling, while ensuring accurate timekeeping and exploring prefabrication options. Communication with project managers regarding project issues, delays, RFIs, change orders, and deficiencies is crucial. The role involves acting as a liaison between the General Contractor and CSSW, holding foremen accountable for meetings and training, and providing feedback on annual reviews. Additionally, the General Foreman will ensure safety audits and task plans are completed and submitted, participate in safety violation meetings, and conduct employee counseling and interviews.
