About The Position

The Pipefitter Foreman is responsible for ensuring safe and efficient execution of pipefitting tasks on a project. This role involves identifying and correcting unsafe practices, overseeing the adequacy of job methods, instructing journeymen, coordinating with other crafts, and ensuring work is completed according to blueprints, specifications, and quality standards. The Foreman also plays a key role in project cost control, schedule adherence, and accurate reporting.

Requirements

6 years of industrial construction experience.
2 years in Supervisory roles.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Knowledge of job specifications.
Familiarity with Bechtel job procedures and work rules.
Understanding of project cost control procedures.
Commitment to staying within established cost goals and unit rate standards.
Ability to ensure accurate reports are submitted regarding time sheets, backcharges, quantity, and work status.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of other craft disciplines for work coordination.
Ability to prevent jurisdictional conflicts.

Responsibilities

Identify and correct unsafe practices and conditions.
Check and ensure the adequacy of existing job/task methods and procedures.
Provide on-the-spot corrective action for safety and quality issues.
Instruct journeymen in specific craft tasks, including safety procedures and techniques.
Coordinate work between different crafts to prevent jurisdictional conflicts.
Read and interpret blueprints and job specifications.
Implement Bechtel job procedures and work rules.
Inspect finished work for quality and completeness.
Understand the work scope, priorities, and schedules of the project.
Ensure planned work is completed on schedule.
Identify potential problems in a timely manner and take remedial action.
Ensure work performed meets drawings, specifications, code requirements, and quality standards.
Adhere to project cost control procedures and stay within established cost goals.
Ensure accurate submission of reports regarding timesheets, backcharges, quantity, and work status.
