About The Position

The Pipefitter Foreman coordinates assigned workers, materials, equipment, and tools to support construction work. The role interprets written and oral orders, sketches, and blueprints; inspects work quality and incoming materials; checks equipment; and helps workers perform their duties. The foreman analyzes and resolves work-related problems, tracks time and production, communicates and enforces company policies and safety regulations, and adjusts work sequences to meet construction schedules. The role may also estimate labor hours and contract costs. Additional duties may be assigned as required.

Requirements

• May require a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous years of experience in the field or a related area may be required.
• Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the field.
• Ability to rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Interpret written and oral orders, sketches, and blueprints to coordinate assigned workers, materials, equipment, and tools.
• Inspect work quality to ensure company standards and project specifications are met.
• Assist workers in performing assigned duties.
• Analyze and resolve work-related problems.
• Review materials received at the jobsite to ensure they are correct and not defective.
• Check equipment to ensure it is in proper working condition.
• Maintain time records and track production.
• Interpret and enforce company policies and safety regulations.
• Study schedules and estimate worker-hour requirements for job completion, as needed.
• Prepare cost estimates for contracts, as needed.
• Establish and adjust work sequences to meet construction schedules, considering equipment capacity and assigned personnel.
• Observe and comply with all safety and project rules.
• Perform other duties as required.
