If you’re ready to take the next step in your career, CEDA has opportunities for you! CEDA is seeking an experienced General Foreman to lead pipefitting and welding crews a turnaround project. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily field operations, coordinating manpower and resources, ensuring quality workmanship, and maintaining the highest safety standards. This project is local to Bonnyville and requires candidates to have their own accommodations. The duration of this project is approximately 2 weeks. This role is open to direct service providers.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role.
  • Extensive knowledge and proven experience in the programming and operation of CNC waterjet cutting tables, complemented by proficiency in the setup and utilization of various bandsaw models and press brake equipment for precision metal fabrication
  • Journeyman Pipefitting certificate required
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety.
  • Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift, overhead crane, or other relevant certifications are an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate all activities of welders, fitters, and fabricators.
  • Assign tasks and monitor productivity, ensuring work meets specifications and deadlines.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols.
  • Ensure all welding activities comply with company procedures and quality standards.
  • Conduct inspections to verify work quality and adherence to safety policies.
  • Communicate project updates, issues, and resource needs to management.
  • Provide hands-on support when necessary, including welding and fitting.
  • Train and mentor junior staff, promoting a strong team culture.
  • Maintain accurate records of production, attendance, materials, and incidents.
