About The Position

Turner Industries Group is seeking Journeyman Pipefitter Fabricators with a minimum of 4 years of experience for shop and site work in Freeport, TX. The successful candidate will be able to read prints, make sketches and layouts from existing installed pipe spools, fabricate spools in the shop, and perform field remove and replace. The job involves laying out, fabricating, preparing, and checking pipe against job specifications for assembly at the job site. This includes interpreting spool sheet diagrams, planning fabrication sequences, measuring and cutting pipe, cleaning and preparing pipe by grinding, bending and threading pipe, and assembling and joining pipe and pipe fittings. The role may also involve operating a hydraulic lift to relocate pipe.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Pipefitter Fabricator.
• Ability to read prints.
• Ability to make sketches and layouts from existing installed pipe spools.
• Ability to fabricate spools in the shop.
• Ability to perform field remove and replace.

Responsibilities

• Lays out, fabricates, prepares and checks pipe against job specifications for assembly at the job site.

• Plans sequence of fabrication.
• Measures and cuts pipe.
• Cleans and prepares pipe by grinding.
• Bends and threads pipe - may operate bending machine.
• Assembles and joins pipe and pipe fittings.
• May operate hydraulic lift to relocate pipe.
• Perform field remove and replace.
