About The Position

Ledcor is looking for Apprentice and Journeyperson Pipefitters to join their team supporting major shutdowns and turnarounds across Alberta’s industrial facilities. This role is for individuals who thrive in fast-paced outage environments where every hour counts, playing a key role in getting units back online—on schedule and without compromise. This is high-intensity, short-duration execution where skilled tradespeople bring focus, precision, and teamwork to meet demanding turnaround timelines.

Requirements

• Registered Apprentice or Journeyperson Pipefitter certification
• Proven experience in shutdowns, turnarounds, or outage maintenance in oil & gas or heavy industrial environments
• Strong ability to read and interpret isometric drawings and P&IDs
• Experience working on time-sensitive, schedule-driven projects with shifting priorities
• Ability to work 10–12+ hour shifts, overtime, and consecutive days during shutdowns
• Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and procedural compliance

Responsibilities

• Execute shutdown and turnaround piping scopes, including maintenance, repairs, replacements, and system tie-ins
• Perform line breaks, flange management, bolt-up, and valve work in accordance with outage schedules
• Interpret isometrics, P&IDs, and work packages to complete assigned tasks safely and accurately
• Support critical path activities, adapting to changing priorities in a time-sensitive environment
• Work within strict permit, isolation, and LOTO procedures to ensure safe execution
• Maintain high productivity and quality during extended shifts and compressed timelines
• Participate in FLHAs, toolbox talks, and safety programs while contributing to a strong safety culture
• Collaborate effectively within a large, multi-trade shutdown workforce
