About The Position

Apache Workforce is currently hiring experienced Pipe Welders for opportunities with TAS Energy in Houston, TX. We are seeking skilled welders with strong fabrication and pipe welding experience who are ready to join a fast-paced manufacturing environment with long-term opportunities. The Pipe Welder is responsible for weld preparation, welding, and weld finishing operations used in the manufacturing of products according to customer drawings, specifications, and work instructions. This role requires proficiency in multiple welding techniques and a strong understanding of welding processes, materials, and safety procedures.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of welding experience in a manufacturing environment
Ability to pass an internal welding test
Strong blueprint and weld symbol reading skills
Knowledge of pipe welding procedures and fabrication techniques
Ability to read measuring devices and calculate dimensions accurately
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to work independently and within a team environment
Good written and verbal English communication skills
Basic math skills for measurements and calculations

Responsibilities

Perform high-quality pipe welding and fabrication operations
Read and interpret blueprints, pipe drawings, weld symbols, and instrumentation drawings
Set up and operate MIG welding equipment
Understand pipe schedules, base materials, and welding applications
Work with various steel alloys, aluminum, and specialty materials
Set up welding parameters including amps, volts, and fixturing
Use conventional and precision measuring tools accurately
Complete process inspections, certifications, and documentation
Perform welding equipment inspections and routine maintenance
Support inventory audits and material tracking processes
Maintain a clean and organized workspace following 5S standards
Follow OSHA regulations, PPE requirements, and company safety procedures
Participate in safety meetings and training sessions
Perform additional duties assigned
