Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking experienced Pipe Welders to join a skilled manufacturing team in Clackamas, OR. Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Pipe Welder or in a similar welding/fabrication position is preferred.
  • Experience with MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings.
  • Knowledge of pipe fitting, joint preparation, and welding techniques.
  • Ability to produce consistent, high-quality welds in multiple positions.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to safely operate welding and fabrication equipment.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks associated with welding and fabrication.
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to follow all required safety procedures and use appropriate PPE.

Responsibilities

  • Perform pipe welding using appropriate welding processes, including MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding, as required.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, weld symbols, and specifications to complete welding assignments accurately.
  • Fit, align, and position pipe components prior to welding.
  • Prepare pipe surfaces by cutting, grinding, beveling, and cleaning materials as needed.
  • Perform welds in various positions while maintaining required quality and penetration standards.
  • Inspect completed welds for accuracy, strength, and overall quality.
  • Use measuring tools and fabrication equipment to ensure components meet specifications and tolerances.
  • Follow established welding procedures, safety requirements, and company quality standards.
  • Maintain welding equipment, tools, and work areas in safe and clean working condition.
  • Work closely with fitters, fabricators, supervisors, and other team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
  • Promptly report equipment issues, material concerns, quality problems, or safety hazards to supervisors.
