About The Position
We are seeking experienced TIG Combo Welders for new commercial construction projects in the Austin, Texas area. The role involves performing high-quality welds on piping components in various positions using TIG (GTAW) and stick (SMAW) welding processes.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of combo welding experience in a commercial setting.
- Ability to weld pipe in multiple positions.
- Must have own tools.
Nice To Haves
- 6G welding ability is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform TIG root passes and stick fill/cap passes on carbon and stainless pipe.
- Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and project specifications.
- Prepare and fit carbon steel and stainless steel materials for welding.
- Ensure welds meet project standards, codes, and safety requirements.
- Inspect welds for defects and make necessary adjustments or repairs.
