This position involves laying out, aligning, and welding fabricated, cast, and forged components to assemble structural forms such as machinery frames, tanks, pressure vessels, furnace shells, buildings, and pipe, according to blueprints and metallurgy. The role requires adherence to precise limits and standards of accuracy, decision-making based on measurable criteria, and the application of basic mathematics. The welder will visualize objects in three dimensions from plans and drawings and compare differences in size, shape, and form of lines, figures, and objects. This is a long-term maintenance position with no per diem.
