About The Position

The Pipe Roll Apprentice at The Beasley Group within the Sawmill division is responsible for supporting the pipe roll operations, ensuring the efficient and safe handling of materials. This full-time position is an entry-level role designed to provide hands-on training and development in the industrial sector, focusing on the maintenance and operation of machinery used in the production process.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn technical skills related to pipe roll operations.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety protocols in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects.
  • Basic problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including shifts and overtime as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting is preferred, but not mandatory.
  • Experience with machinery or equipment maintenance will be considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the setup and operation of pipe roll machinery under the guidance of experienced technicians.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and report any issues to supervisors.
  • Follow safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Participate in training sessions to enhance technical skills and knowledge related to the sawmill industry.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve operational efficiency and productivity.
  • Support inventory management by tracking materials and reporting discrepancies.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback and suggestions for process enhancements.
