About The Position

Pipe fitters are responsible for installing complex piping systems on ships and in shops. This involves learning to read blueprints, fabricating, installing, inspecting, and testing numerous piping systems. New hires will attend a Fundamentals of Piping Fitting class within their first few weeks and will receive ongoing training throughout their careers to enhance their knowledge.

Requirements

  • Able to work at extreme heights or small confined spaces.
  • Able to kneel, squat, crawl, bend, stoop, and climb.
  • Able to lift 40 lbs.
  • Must take and pass a respirator fit test.
  • Able to work indoors/outdoors year round in all weather conditions.
  • Able to work assigned shift as production needs.
  • Able to pass Physical Agility Test.

Nice To Haves

  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred
