About The Position
To perform job functions required and/or assigned in the fabrication of iron as steel structures in accordance with the contract/job specifications and quality assurance requirements/fitting procedures and established ISO/QC program standards.
Requirements
- Must have a minimum of 2 years' experience and be able to successfully demonstrate the ability to pass a written and practical pipe fitter test.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen
- Must be able to pass background check.
- Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing.
Nice To Haves
- Highschool diploma or equivalent
Responsibilities
- Follow instructions, written and/or verbal, with little or no supervision.
- Read and interpret blueprint and specification schedules.
- Perform mathematical calculations, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, angles etc.
- Measure, cut, fit and/or install iron and steel braces, beams, plate, pipe, etc., in accordance to blue print and job specifications schedules.
- Follow fitting procedures and principles used in the fabrication of offshore jackets, decks, heliports, production facilities, etc.
- Perform other related job duties as assigned in safe and efficient manner; also, see physical requirements.
- Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing.
