About The Position
MGC Contractors, Inc. is a 100% Employee Owned Corporation specializing in all forms of water and wastewater general contracting. We are looking for a Pipefitter to join our Utah Division in the Provo area.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- At least Five (5) years of experience installing piping and equipment on multi-functional water/wastewater projects required
- Passing a pre-employment drug screen is required
Responsibilities
- Review and comprehend blueprint drawings and specifications
- Lay out large and small diameter mechanical piping, and equipment such as Clarifier, Filters, Chemical Rooms, Aeration Basin System, Influent Fine Screens, and Pumps
- Monitor safety for all on-site personnel and subcontractors
- Monitor project labor
- Understand the process of equipment installation, alignment, and anchoring
- Crane rigging and signaling
- Knowledge of different types of process piping materials and connections, PVC, Steel, SST, and DIP
- Forklift, scissor lift and boom lift operations
- Any and all other duties assigned
