Requirements

3-5 years' experience as a pipe fitter; or equivalent combination of vocational training and experience
Must be able to multi-task, work with minimal supervision, follow written and oral instructions, show attention to detail, and demonstrate problem-solving skills
Must adhere to all company policy and procedures
Must be available, and have the means to report to multiple job sites as assigned
Work aloft, climb, bend, pull, reach overhead, stand/walk for long periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs.
Frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; and reach with hands and arms
Must be able to correctly identify all colors of a color-coded cable/wires and see close vision, distance vision, depth perception, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus

Nice To Haves

NCCER certified
Prior military experience
HS diploma or GED equivalent

Responsibilities

Interprets sketches, blue prints and isometric drawings
Cleans, bevels, prepares and installs pipe with various fittings and weld joints
Performs layout, rigging and transportation of pipe, valves and fittings
Installs pipe and related materials and equipment
Inspects worksite to determine presence of obstructions
Plans sequence on installation to avoid obstructions and activities of other workers
Cuts pipe using, pipe cutter, cutting torch and pipe cutting machine
Threads pipe using threading machine
Secures pipes to structure with bracket, clamps, and hangers, using hand and power tools
Tests piping systems
Loads, transports and unloads material, tools, equipment and supplies
Assists in lifting, positioning and securing of material and work pieces during installation
Maintains tools and equipment
Relies on pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job
Performs other duties as assigned
