About The Position

Apache Workforce is currently hiring experienced Pipe Fitters for opportunities with TAS Energy in Houston, TX. We are seeking skilled trade professionals with strong pipe fitting, fabrication, and mechanical assembly experience for fast-paced manufacturing operations. Responsible for the precise layout, assembly, installation, and maintenance of pipe systems and supports. This position requires expertise in working with a variety of materials, including metal and non-metal pipes, to ensure efficient operations. The Pipe Fitter must adhere to all safety standards, follow detailed specifications, and collaborate effectively with team members to complete projects on time and to the highest quality standards.

Requirements

  • Strong ability to read blueprints, schematics, and pipe drawings
  • Knowledge of pipe schedules, fittings, and base materials
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, and pipe fitting equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Strong safety awareness and hazard prevention mindset
  • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
  • Minimum 5 years of pipe fitting experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints
  • Strong understanding of safety procedures in an industrial setting
  • Experience with tools used in pipe fabrication and installation
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment

Nice To Haves

  • Basic MIG welding setup experience preferred
  • Technical training or certification in pipe fitting
  • Experience with automated cutting and threading equipment
  • Forklift and overhead crane certification
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles
  • Advanced pipe fitting or fabrication experience

Responsibilities

  • Select pipe sizes, materials, supports, and fittings based on specifications
  • Cut pipe using saws, cutters, cutting torches, and pipe cutting machines
  • Thread and bend pipe using specialized equipment and machinery
  • Assemble and install steel, stainless steel, and other piping systems
  • Read and interpret blueprints, piping diagrams, and technical drawings
  • Operate measuring tools and ensure accurate dimensions and alignment
  • Support material handling, inventory tracking, and warehouse coordination
  • Assist with inventory audits and material traceability
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas following 5S standards
  • Follow OSHA safety standards and company safety procedures
  • Properly use PPE and report any safety concerns immediately
  • Participate in safety training and team safety meetings
  • Perform additional duties assigned by TAS Energy management
