About The Position
JRT Mechanical is seeking an experienced Pipefitter/Welder with experience in fitting and welding stainless and carbon steel. This is a full-time position with a family-owned business that values its employees and offers a competitive wage with excellent benefits. The work involves new construction in large commercial and industrial facilities, with approximately 50% of the work being prevailing wages.
Requirements
- Stable job history
- Experience in the industry

- Fitting and welding skills are required
- Experience fitting/welding stainless and carbon steel
- Certified or qualified to be certified to weld pipe in the 6G position open root full penetration
Responsibilities
- Fit and weld carbon and stainless steel via Stick and TIG
- Fit up piping in preparation to be welded
- Interpret isometric drawings
- Read blueprints, plans, and shop drawings
- Clean and clear debris and hazardous material from pipes as needed
- Install piping supports such as hanger/strut/all-thread etc.
- Weld pipe in the 6G position open root full penetration (either certified or qualified to be certified)
