About The Position

Charlotte Pipe and Foundry Company has been manufacturing pipe and fittings exclusively in the USA for over a century, employing 1,400 people. They manufacture a broad range of DWV products, including cast iron and plastic pipe and fittings. Charlotte Pipe is headquartered in Charlotte, NC, with seven plant locations across the United States. The Monroe, NC facility is seeking a Pipe Cutter. Charlotte Pipe and Foundry is a leading manufacturer of pipe and fittings, offering a complete system of cast iron, PVC, CPVC, ABS and FlowGuard Gold® pipe and fittings for various applications. They invest in the latest tooling and machinery to meet demand and ensure high-quality products.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required.
Forklift certified.
Ability to learn to operate scale and label printer.

Responsibilities

Cutting pipe to the appropriate length and packaging the pipe into boxes.
Inventory and organizing materials.
Loading finished product into warehouse specific trailer.
Maintaining an organized, clean work area.
Cutting supplied "z-pipe" into 2' sections.
Boxing 2' pieces of pipe into cardboard boxes.
Building and organizing pallets from filled boxes.
Keeping work area up to 5S housekeeping standards.
Stock transfer trailers with created pallets.
Trouble-shooting, setting up and resetting saws and tape tables.
Keeping supply shed up to 5S Housekeeping & Safety standards.
Maintaining constant state of alertness and ability to safely perform job duties.
