About The Position

Walbec is seeking a Loader Operator with pipe laying and sewer/water experience to join their team. This role is crucial in supporting pipe layers, operators, and the foreman by ensuring all materials are coordinated for the installation of sanitary, watermain, and storm pipes and manholes. The position requires maintaining jobsite safety and cleanliness, and ensuring materials and workflow remain organized and efficient. The operator must be capable of switching between operating a loader and a backfill excavator.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
• 3+ years of experience in Sewer and Water.
• Must be able to operate a loader and backfill excavator.
• Must be punctual and dependable.
• Able to work varied hours including nights, early mornings, weekends, as needed.
• Able to tolerate and work in variable weather conditions, and work in dirty and dusty environments.
• Member of a Local Operators Union, or willingness to become a union member.
• Successfully pass or has passed the Operators Union aptitude test when required.

Nice To Haves

• A Class A CDL is desired but not necessary prior to hire.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
