About The Position
The Loader Operator is responsible for moving material throughout the factory and ensuring the achievement of smooth receiving, stocking, and shipping.
Requirements
- 1+ year(s) experience operating heavy equipment
- Ability to consistently comply with PPE and safety standards while on the production premises
- Pass certifications on all materials handling equipment on site
- Experience working in a 24/7 production environment
- Strong work ethic with a positive attitude
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required
Responsibilities
- Direct truck drivers during loading and unloading
- Operate scale, record weights and dimensions accurately
- Operate packaging equipment to securely transport inbound, cross-dock, and outbound loads
- Load and unload material at the standard rate of production
- Inspect material handling equipment before operating, record data from the inspection
- Visually differentiate between similar metals
- Assist in other areas and perform other duties, as needed
