About The Position
The Loader Operator is responsible for loading customer trucks with the correct material in the correct quantities, and if in the pit, loading raw material into the hopper at the desired production rate. This role also involves performing routine maintenance on equipment, maintaining a hazard-free work environment through housekeeping and maintenance duties, and adhering to all safety policies and regulations. The primary accountabilities include plant safety, operating equipment, and light equipment maintenance.
Requirements
- Ability to work 12 hour shifts and weekends if needed.
- Self motivated and able to work effectively in small teams.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and math skills.
Nice To Haves
- Related industry experience a plus.
- Experience operating heavy equipment in a plant environment preferred.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
Responsibilities
- Watch for oversize material or contamination in finished product piles.
- Load customer trucks with the correct material in the correct quantities.
- If in the pit, load raw material from the pit into the hopper at the desired production rate.
- Perform routine maintenance including machine cleanliness, daily service inspection, fueling, greasing, etc.
- Additional maintenance activities as required.
- Help maintain a hazard-free work environment by assisting in housekeeping and maintenance duties.
- Includes cleanliness and upkeep of yard area.
- Follow all safety policies, including MSHA and company regulations.
- Report safety hazards and create safety first culture.
- Participate in safety meetings.
- Other duties as assigned.
