About The Position

Corteva Agriscience has an exciting opportunity for a Pioneer Seeds Field Agronomist serving the Eau Claire, River Falls, and Hudson area in Wisconsin. This role involves working closely with growers on the farm and in their fields, alongside a network of Pioneer Sales Rep agencies. The ideal candidate has a passion for providing solutions to customers, supporting a high-performing team, and improving the customer experience. This position requires independent work while also contributing to a dynamic sales team. A strong work ethic, high moral standards, professionalism, and pride in work quality are essential for success. The Field Agronomist will collaborate with a Territory Manager to achieve common territory targets, acting as a liaison with local Pioneer Sales Representatives to increase market share and strengthen relationships with key operations. The focus areas include Pioneer product training, positioning, general agronomy, team-selling, and providing grower solutions to enhance yield, profitability, and sustainability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • At least 5-7 years of agronomy sales experience, educating and empowering individuals.
  • Must be able to sell, negotiate, influence, resolve conflict, recruit, and coach.
  • Ability to pass a driving record background check.

Nice To Haves

  • Agronomy and crop production experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Target field activities to key accounts to build relationships and drive sales of Pioneer® brand products.
  • Develop and provide agronomic and product education and training to the field sales force that supports the sales and service of Pioneer products.
  • Collaborate with the Product Life Cycle Manager and Agronomy Manager to plan and conduct Commercial Unit, and regional agronomy field trials that improve the product management and/or product positioning of Pioneer seed products.
  • Partner with Product Agronomists, Territory Managers, Sales Agronomists and Sales Reps to create and deliver product and digital services information that improves the productivity and profitability of Pioneer customers.
  • Serve as a primary agronomic resource to Territory Managers to resolve customer concerns.
