About The Position

Accenture Flex is hiring a Pilot Pod Engineer to lead a pilot pod for an application remediation project. The project aims to accelerate critical remediation, build sustainable currency capabilities, and establish an operating model and governance structure to sustain progress. An initial five-week mobilization sprint will establish the program operating model and prepare technical delivery teams to begin addressing identified findings.

The role focuses on piloting remediation for a small number of critical applications. For each application, the engineer will work with application owners, engineering subject-matter experts, and business and function currency leads to understand the architecture, technology stack, and remediation constraints. The engineer will assess vulnerabilities and currency findings, identify release and testing requirements, and document an application-specific remediation approach and delivery sequence.

Accenture Flex employees work in their local metro area onsite at the project, with significantly reduced or eliminated travel demands. Compensation is listed at $57–$67 per hour in the specified locations. The role includes Accenture Flex benefits and access to learning resources.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience.
• Core Java sustain progress experience required.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Lead the pilot pod focused on critical remediation and pilot remediation for a few critical applications.
• Engage each application’s owner, engineering SME, and business and function currency lead to understand its architecture, technology stack, and known remediation constraints.
• Assess application-specific vulnerability and currency findings, including component dependencies, blast radius, and cross-application or cross-business-unit integration risks.
• Identify release constraints, change authorization requirements, and testing dependencies that govern each application’s remediation approach.
• Document the initial remediation approach and sequencing for each application to form the basis of its delivery plan.
