About The Position

Agrana Fruit is the world market leader and leading ingredient supplier of fruit preparations in one of the fastest growing segments in the food industry. We specialize in the custom development of stabilized fruit preparations for the refrigerated & frozen dairy, bakery, and food service industries. Every 3rd cup of yogurt worldwide contains fruit from Agrana! A Pilot Plant Technician will be responsible for preparing sample fruit preparations as well as ensuring standards are met in the relevant production and storage areas.

Requirements

High School diploma or GED equivalent required
English Language Fluency with reading, writing, and speaking
Basic Computer proficiency , including Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and internet navigation, as well as basic data entry skills
Good interpersonal skills

Nice To Haves

SAP experience is a plus
Experience in food manufacturing, industrial kitchen, pilot-scale operations, or GMP environments

Responsibilities

Cook approximately 9 samples of fruit preparations daily according to established procedures
Adjust cook formulas to specifications detailed on the procedure
Perform quality testing on customer sample batches: pH and Brix
Operate, clean and maintain pilot scale equipment as part of daily tasks
Support the New Product Development Team leaders by reporting any issues concerning materials, equipment and ability to meet objectives
Participate in internal or cross functional projects as team members
Maintain accurate records of run conditions; including analytical data, process data, and labeling
Maintain proper inventory levels to par quantities
Pull raw materials needed for next day’s schedule
Perform scheduled sanitation tasks
Maintain clean, sanitary and safe pilot plant environment ensuring compliance to GMP, GLP, FDA and internal quality standards
