We are seeking a hands-on Laboratory Technician to support day-to-day operations within our pilot plant and laboratory environment. This role focuses on sample analysis, quality control testing, and accurate reporting of results to support engineering and product development efforts. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable working with standard laboratory equipment, and able to consistently execute routine testing while maintaining high-quality documentation. This is a hands-on lab focused role supporting engineering and pilot plant operators. Most of the work on a day-to-day basis will involve routine testing, data collection, and reporting. Candidates will have the opportunity to work with new technologies and will receive specialized training in equipment and processes.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in chemistry or a related field (or equivalent laboratory experience)
  • 1-3 years of experience working in a laboratory or quality control environment
  • Familiarity with common laboratory equipment and analytical techniques
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to communicate results clearly via email and written reports

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting pilot plants or process development activities
  • Exposure to wet chemistry techniques
  • Basic mechanical aptitude or troubleshooting skills

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine laboratory analyses on samples, including quality control testing and product evaluations
  • Collect, label, and prepare samples for testing and analysis
  • Accurately record, analyze, and report test results in a timely manner
  • Maintain detailed laboratory records and documentation
  • Support engineers by executing established test methods and procedures
  • Ensure laboratory equipment is clean, organized, and functioning properly
  • Assist with basic instrument calibration and upkeep
  • Follow all safety, health, and environmental procedures and guidelines
