About The Position

Join the Studio Fitness team and help build a culture that delivers on the promise we make to our members – feel Welcome, feel Comfortable and feel Healthy. In our clubs, our Reformer Pilates Instructors offer our members the most luxurious workout experience. You will be responsible for planning, organizing, instructing, and leading classes using musicality and strong cueing techniques to provide best in class instruction. Through your persuasive nature and engaging communication skills, you will attract and acquire members to join your class. Whether it be group training, partner training or one on one training, you are always seeking new ways to keep your schedule and classes full.

Requirements

  • Must be available to instruct a minimum of 5 classes per week for group, partner and one-on-one sessions
  • 1+ years related Group Fitness or Personal Training instruction experience required leading Pilates (Mat), Yoga, Wellness, Mobility or Personal Training
  • Successful completion of a nationally recognized Reformer Pilates certification from one of the following accredited institutions: Balanced Body, STOTT/Merrithew, Body Harmonics, BASI Pilates or Peak Pilates.
  • Certification must have been completed in person (no online certifications).
  • Strong communication, cueing, and client engagement skills.
  • Ability to build and retain a client base, including booking 1-on-1 sessions and promoting group class attendance.
  • Must submit a teaching video as part of their application process.

Nice To Haves

  • Additional certifications to teach specialized classes, special populations, and adapted fitness are an asset

Responsibilities

  • Instruct challenging and enthusiastic Reformer Pilates classes for members of all ages and fitness levels
  • Ensure methods and techniques conform to standardized club training practices
  • Provide an exceptional workout experience and unparalleled service to meet the diverse needs of new and existing Pilates members
  • Build and sustain relationships with new and existing Club members
  • Provide 5-star class instruction by ensuring all classes start and end on time and that classes are covered in the event of vacation or illness
  • Responsible for creating a safe, fun and welcoming environment for all members
  • Proactively seek feedback (positive and constructive) from class participants and share feedback with management with a view to continuously improve the program
  • Sell Reformer Pilates session packages to interested members
