About The Position

Altea is an integrated fitness and wellness destination, offering Barre classes in the Sculpt Studio. Barre at Altea combines low-impact, high-burn classes with isometric holds and micro-movements, utilizing the barre and props for resistance to develop posture, balance, and control. The company is seeking an instructor who understands the precision required for this format and delivers it with energy and warmth to ensure member retention.

Requirements

Current Barre certification required — Pure Barre, The Bar Method, Barre Certification Institute, or equivalent recognized credential
Experience teaching Barre classes in a studio or premium fitness environment
Strong understanding of isometric training, alignment cueing, and prop-based resistance in a group setting
Reliable, punctual, and holds a consistently high standard of preparation and professionalism
Criminal Background Check required prior to commencement

Ballet, dance, or Pilates background is a strong asset

Responsibilities

Deliver precise, high-burn Barre classes that challenge participants through sustained isometric holds and controlled micro-movements, with a clear structural intention and physical progression in every class.
Coach the detail of Barre, cueing alignment, engagement, and positioning to make small movements genuinely hard and effective.
Utilize the barre and props with purpose as coaching tools to provide resistance, support, and challenge, meeting participants at every level.
Build a community by learning names, celebrating consistency, and creating a class culture that people want to be part of.
Show up prepared with a set class plan, organized props, and be on the floor before participants arrive, delivering pre and post-class sequences to standard every time.
