Pilates Reformer Instructor/Lead Instructor
About The Position
Healthtrax Fitness & Wellness is preparing to open a new Pilates Reformer studio at its Washington Township, New Jersey fitness center. The company is seeking Pilates Reformer Instructors and may also have opportunities for a Pilates Reformer Lead Instructor to help lead, develop, and grow studio programming. Candidates may be experienced instructors or aspiring professionals who are interested in pursuing certification. Healthtrax may offer financial support toward certification for eligible candidates, based on qualifications and program requirements. Instructors lead engaging, safe, and effective classes for members with different fitness levels and experience. They provide high-quality instruction focused on technique, alignment, modifications, and individual member needs, while creating a welcoming studio environment and building a strong member community. Lead Instructor candidates may also help develop programming, mentor instructors, support studio operations, and contribute to program growth. The listed compensation is $30.00–$50.00 per hour. The role is at Healthtrax Fitness & Wellness in Washington Township, New Jersey.
Requirements
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and coaching skills.

Nice To Haves
- At least one year of Pilates Reformer teaching experience is preferred.
- Current Pilates Reformer certification is preferred for instructor candidates.
- Leadership or instructor development experience is preferred for Head Trainer candidates.
Responsibilities
- Lead engaging, safe, and effective Pilates Reformer classes for members with varying fitness levels and experience.
- Provide instruction emphasizing proper technique, alignment, modifications, and individual member needs.
- Create a welcoming, motivating studio environment that supports member engagement and retention.
- Build positive relationships with members and contribute to a strong studio community.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional studio environment.
- Collaborate with the Healthtrax team to support the success and growth of the Pilates program.
- For Head Trainer candidates, support development and implementation of the studio’s class schedule and programming.
- For Head Trainer candidates, help recruit, mentor, and develop Pilates instructors.
- For Head Trainer candidates, maintain consistent instructional standards and a high-quality member experience.
- For Head Trainer candidates, assist with studio operations, instructor scheduling, and program growth.
- For Head Trainer candidates, help establish a strong Pilates culture at the new Healthtrax location.
